JOHOR BAHRU (Feb 21): Pertubuhan Ihsan Johor is aiming to build 50 houses for the less fortunate this year, Bernama reported.

The non-governmental organisation had built 20 houses with the help of volunteers last year, its founding president Suhaimi Salleh said.

He is hopeful of the organisation building at least five houses a month, adding that there are currently more than 500 active volunteers who have registered with the organisation.

"Ihsan Johor not only build houses, but also provides other forms of assistance through its Sekolah Ihsan Johor and Dapur Ihsan Johor," he said. He also welcomes contributions and participation from the public and corporate organisations.
