KUALA LUMPUR (March 1): Sunway Bhd today appointed former Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) Secretary-General, Tan Sri Dr Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria, as independent non-executive director, Bernama reported.

Sta Maria retired as Secretary-General of Miti on July 2, 2016, Sunway said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today.

She held the Secretary-General post since December 2010.

Sta Maria also serves on the Board of Trustees of the MyKasih Foundation and is the Chair of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs and the European Union-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bernama reported.
