KUALA LUMPUR (March 21): More “datuks” are being arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) as the graft busters go about their task of investigating various cases in the country.

Six people including two with “Datuk” titles were held by the MACC to help in their probe into the sale of 880 ha of Ijok land valued at RM1.18 billion to development companies in 2016, Bernama reported yesterday.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad told the media that two of the arrested were father and son.

The six are aged between 34 and 84 and were arrested at Petaling Jaya and Putrajaya, Bernama reported.

MACC is still hot on the trail of another “datuk” to help in the case.

“We are in the midst of tracking down another company director with “Datuk” title, who is now believed to be abroad, and another man, to assist further investigation into the case,” Dzulkifli said.

Later today, all six were ordered to be remanded for four days. The remand order was issued by Magistrate Khir Nizam Jemari, Bernama reported.
