SUBANG JAYA (June 16): Avaland Bhd (KL:AVALAND) has commenced construction of a 300m covered pedestrian walkway and link bridge from its Avenue25 mixed-use development to the USJ21 LRT Station. 

According to a media statement issued on Monday, the groundbreaking ceremony took place on-site on June 13. The walkway is intended to improve pedestrian connectivity between Avenue25 and the public transport station, reinforcing the project’s goal of fostering a walkable and integrated community.

“This groundbreaking marks the start of our vision of integrating residences, retail and a fully connected road network,” said Avaland chief operating officer Aw Sei Cheh in the statement.

Avaland reported its highest-ever net profit in 2024, with property sales rising 53% to RM894.2 million, and plans to launch projects worth RM1.3 billion in gross development value (GDV) this year.

Four major projects are set to be completed in 2025, delivering 2,169 residential units with a combined GDV of RM1.7 billion.
