JOHOR BAHRU (July 29): Sunway Property has broken ground on Sunway LakeHills, a high-rise residential development set to become the tallest in Taman Molek, Johor Bahru. The development has a gross development value of RM1.1 billion.
According to a press statement issued on Monday, Sunway LakeHills is part of the bigger 88-acre Sunway Lenang Heights masterplan, and it is the first high-rise development within the township. The project comprises two 46-storey towers and one 33-storey tower, with the first launch offering 862 units with selling prices starting from RM560,000.
Targeted for completion in 2029, the project will deliver 1,200 units in total, with some units coming with a private lift lobby and loft design.
Residents will have access to more than two acres of leisure space with 88 facilities, including an infinity pool, indoor and outdoor gyms and landscaped decks. The project also offers 360° views of the Johor Bahru skyline, golf course and lake view as Sunway Lenang Heights features a 30-acre twin-lake garden, which is jointly enhanced with the Johor Bahru City Council. The park offers a boardwalk, jogging path, basketball court and playground.
“Sunway LakeHills within Sunway Lenang Heights represents our continued momentum in Johor, where we are strengthening our presence across key growth corridors,” said Sunway Property chief executive officer (Southern Region) Gerard Soosay in the statement.
The developer highlighted that Sunway LakeHills complements its broader Johor portfolio, which includes the RM4 billion Sunway Majestic in Yahya Awal and the RM2.6 billion Bukit Chagar transit-oriented development.
Located 13km from Johor Bahru city centre, Sunway LakeHills is accessible via the Eastern Dispersal Link Expressway, Tebrau Highway, East Coast Expressway and the upcoming RTS Bukit Chagar station.
Nearby amenities include Sunway College, AEON Tebrau City, IKEA Toppen, Mid Valley Southkey, Ponderosa Golf & Country Club and major hospitals.
