SHAH ALAM (Aug 18): S P Setia Bhd will once again celebrate Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day with its fifth instalment of Setia4Malaysia Unity Run, kicking off the 2025 event on Sept 7 at Setia Fontaines in Penang.

Also of note is that the Setia4Malaysia Unity Fest 2025 events will take place concurrently for the first time across selected flagship townships on 6 to 7 Sept 2025, including Setia Eco Gardens, Setia Bayuemas, Setia Alamsari, KL Eco City, Setia Alam Impian, Setia Eco Glades, Setia Warisan Tropika, and internationally in Setia Vietnam and Setia Melbourne.

“We are thrilled to host the upcoming Setia4Malaysia Unity Run 2025 at our flagship township Setia Fontaines, Penang, which is poised to be the next hotspot in the Northern region,” said S P Setia executive vice-president and chief commercial officer Christinne Lim.

She added that this will be the first time that Setia will host Setia4Malaysia Unity Fest events in locations beyond the Klang Valley.

“Each location will offer unique cultural experiences such as live t-shirt printing, DIY Merdeka kite-making, batik canting, henna art, face painting, traditional games, blind box giveaways, and Malaysian delicacies. We look forward to welcoming you and your loved ones to join us in this celebration,” she explained.

Setia4Malaysia Unity Run is expected to draw more than 3,000 participants and will offer three main race categories: a 3km fun run (for families and beginners); a 10km challenge (for experienced runners); and a 21km half marathon (for seasoned athletes).

All participants will receive an exclusive event jersey while 21km finishers will be awarded a finisher’s medal and jersey. Podium winners for both 10km and 21km will be awardedcash prizes, and the first 500 registrants will each receive a complimentary Eco Eco plushie.
