KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 22): Hextar World at Empire City is set to open its doors to the public with a soft launch on Nov 29, with the complete unveiling scheduled for 2026.

In a statement on Wednesday, the group said the development in Damansara, Selangor spans 1.8 million sq ft of net lettable area (NLA), with 450,000 sq ft dedicated to entertainment. 

The new lifestyle destination, dubbed The Exploratorium, is designed to blend lifestyle, leisure, arts, and entertainment within a dynamic architectural setting.

“Hextar World marks a bold new chapter in community-focused commercial development, and we eagerly anticipate welcoming Malaysians on 29 November as they enter a lifestyle hub destination like no other,” said Hextar Group's CEO Datuk Eddie Ong.

The soft launch will offer visitors a preview of the full experience, featuring curated activities, live entertainment, and sneak peeks of upcoming attractions.

Among the highlights are Parkson’s next-generation retail concept, debuting exclusively at Hextar World, as well as a range of lifestyle, sports, and entertainment anchors, including 10Star Cinemas, the Malaysia National Ice Skating Stadium, Miami Beach indoor water park, Village Grocer, and Ballet Theatre Malaysia.

According to the statement, Hextar World is envisioned as a catalyst for urban revitalisation in Damansara, contributing to local job creation, small business opportunities, and Malaysia’s appeal as a family-friendly tourism destination.

On Oct 10, Hextar World hosted a tenant Countdown Party welcoming over 600 retailers and business partners for an exclusive preview. Guests were treated to live performances and family-friendly entertainment, offering an early look at the diverse experiences that will soon define the new hub.
