PETALING JAYA (Dec 5): Eupe Corp Bhd (KL:EUPE) will launch its latest 95-acre mixed-use development named Edgewater in Sungai Petani, Kedah, comprising residential, retail, recreational and biodiversity-centred components in the first half of 2027.

Eupe Corp group managing director Datuk Beh Huck Lee confirmed this at a signing ceremony of Jaya Grocer as Edgewater’s retail project’s anchor tenant on Friday.

The components for the RM700 million Edgewater include about 700 landed residential units; 90 retail units, of which he said configurations may change; recreational spaces and biodiversity projects. More details of the project will be revealed later.

When asked about the master plan, Beh explained, “We feel a lot of townships [in that area] have been developed in a very standard way. It's no longer interesting at all. So what we are trying to do with Edgewater is to revitalise and relink every component [of the area] back to this particular precinct”.

He added that they are looking to acquire more land in that area.

Meanwhile, Eupe Corp announced that Jaya Grocer’s opening at Edgewater will mark its first outlet in Kedah. Jaya Grocer will occupy 26,000 sq ft of the retail development. The entire retail component will span 220,000 sq ft.

Beh also highlighted that other potential tenants have indicated interest to occupy the remaining retail lots.
