• The property segment also reported a higher quarterly PBT of RM39.38 million, more than three times the RM11.74 million reported a year ago.

KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 9): LB Aluminium Bhd's (KL:LBALUM) net profit nearly tripled to RM22.03 million for its second quarter ended Oct 31 (2QFY2026), from RM7.64 million a year earlier, lifted by stronger earnings contributions from both its aluminium and property segments.

Revenue fell 3.33% to RM270.86 million from RM280.19 million, dragged by lower sales volume from its aluminium segment, according to the group's exchange filing on Monday.

The aluminium segment’s profit before tax (PBT) saw a two-fold increase to RM10.58 million, from RM5.3 million in 2QFY2025, supported by higher margins coupled with a lower foreign exchange loss.

The property segment also reported a higher quarterly PBT of RM39.38 million, more than three times the RM11.74 million reported a year ago, due mainly to higher contributions from the group's PSV 1 Residences and PSV 2 Residences projects, in tandem with higher cumulative sales and work progress.

No dividend was declared for the quarter.

For the first half of FY2026, LB Aluminium's net profit more than doubled to RM33.63 million, from RM16.5 million a year before, despite revenue dropping 3.33% to RM541.29 million from RM559.95 million.

Looking ahead, the group noted that the global aluminium prices continue to fluctuate amid uncertainties in trade policies and economic outlook.

Hence, the group will continue to closely monitor its operational costs and selling prices to preserve margins.
