KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 23): Kimlun Corp Bhd (KL:KIMLUN) said on Tuesday that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kimlun Sdn Bhd, has accepted the award of three construction contracts in Johor with a combined value of RM617.73 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the engineering and construction services provider said the contracts were awarded by Permas Jaya Sdn Bhd, Melia Spring Sdn Bhd and CJ Developments Sdn Bhd.

The largest contract, valued at RM271.55 million, was awarded by Melia Spring for the main building works of two blocks of serviced apartments and ancillary buildings in Mukim Pulai, Johor Bahru, with completion expected by the third quarter of 2028.

Permas Jaya awarded a RM176.2 million contract for the main building works of two blocks of serviced apartments and ancillary buildings in Mukim Plentong, Johor Bahru, which is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2028.

Meanwhile, CJ Developments awarded a RM169.98 million contract for infrastructure and building works for terrace houses and shop-offices in Mukim Pulai, Johor Bahru, with completion targeted for the second quarter of 2028.

Kimlun said the contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets over the respective contract periods.

The company’s net profit jumped more than sixfold to RM18.2 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2025 (3QFY2025) from RM2.78 million a year earlier, as revenue rose to a record high of RM466.8 million, a 44% increase from RM323.9 million the year before.

As at end-September, the group had an estimated construction and manufacturing order book of about RM4.2 billion and RM300 million, respectively.

Shares in Kimlun settled unchanged at RM1.22 on Tuesday, giving the company a market capitalisation of RM474.2 million.
