KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 14): The 25th International Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition (Archidex 2026) aims to surpass total business transactions of RM1.4 billion generated in 2025, and expects around 40,000 visitors.

Archidex 2026 will be held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre on Jalan Dutamas 2, Kuala Lumpur, from July 29 to Aug 1.

At the soft launch ceremony of Archidex 2026 on Tuesday (Jan 13), C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd project director Jason Lim said, “For this year, we hope to generate bigger business transactions, which means that the economy is doing well. The stakeholders in this industry are also able to benefit from these business connections. So for now, we are aiming higher than RM1.4 billion for this year.”

Archidex 2026, which is part of the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival (KLAF), will be jointly organised by the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) and C.I.S Network, and held in conjunction with the KLAF's inaugural Kuala Lumpur Architecture Week.

In his opening remarks, PAM president Adrianta Aziz said, “Archidex 2026 embraces the theme of 'The Bold Future'; it is both a call to action and an invitation for architects to rethink what is possible to collaborate across disciplines and to lead with creativity and purpose.

“Through initiatives such as Kuala Lumpur Architecture Week, we see how architecture activates heritage precincts, transforms public spaces and brings people together, reminding us that our true impact is measured not just in structure, but in human experiences.”

This year, Archidex will expand to 37,000 sq m of exhibition space, close to a 20% increase from 2025, and is expecting approximately 900 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions.

The exhibition will be zoned into four themes: Digital @ ARCHIDEX showcasing BIM, AI-driven design, smart buildings and proptech solutions; A Hospitality Anthology exploring the design narratives and operational innovations driving Asia-Pacific’s luxury and lifestyle hospitality sector; World of Works, a real-life office simulation; and the Asean Fenestration and Technology Exhibition showcasing sustainable, energy-efficient building solutions through windows, doors, glass and façade technologies.

Besides that, Archidex 2026 will also offer conferences, forums and networking opportunities.

Beyond the exhibition halls, Archidex 2026 will feature the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Week (KLAW) tour. KLAW 2026 expands across KL Downtown to Petaling Street, featuring heritage landmarks including Bangunan Sultan Abdul Samad, Medan Pasar, the River of Life and views of Merdeka 118.
