SINGAPORE (Jan 14): Jesselton Courtyard, a freehold residential development in Penang will be launched for sale to Singapore buyers at an event hosted by Savills Singapore during the weekend of Jan 17 and 18.
Jesselton Courtyard is a project by Berjaya Land Development, a unit of Malaysian conglomerate Berjaya Corp, founded by business magnate Vincent Tan.
The development is located along Persiaran Jesselton Selatan, close to Penang Turf and a short drive away from George Town’s key commercial areas.
The gated development spans 11.908 acres of freehold land and comprises 239 residences, which include 32 four-storey zero-lot bungalows, dubbed Courtyard Homes.

Each bungalow features six bedrooms, a maid’s room, seven bathrooms and two powder rooms. Courtyard Homes are priced from RM6.631 million.
The remaining 207 units are Courtyard Villas. Housed in five-storey blocks, the units comprise 1½ and two-storey homes with four to six bedrooms.
They also feature a maid’s room, five to six bathrooms and a powder room. Courtyard Villas are priced from RM2.957 million.

All units feature doorstep parking, with four to six car parks provided per residence. In addition, the layout of the residences is designed to support multi-generational living and features a dual-key configuration.
“Jesselton Courtyard offers Singapore buyers a rare opportunity to acquire a landed or landed-style home in one of Penang’s most tightly held residential addresses, where developments of this scale and density are increasingly hard to come by,” says Ruben Koh, senior director for international residential sales at Savills Singapore.

Koh adds that Penang continues to appeal to Singapore buyers for its relative value, lifestyle offering, and long-term liveability. “Jesselton Courtyard stands out as a freehold option for buyers who view Penang not just as a lifestyle destination, but as a sustainable long-term investment or legacy asset.”
Savills Singapore’s launch event for Jesselton Courtyard will be held at Voco Orchard Hotel on Jan 17 and 18, from 11am to 6pm.
