KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 20): Executive director and substantial shareholder Datuk Seri Andrew Tan Jun Suan actively traded shares in Tanco Holdings Bhd yesterday, according to multiple Bursa Malaysia filings.

Tan acquired 14,356,000 ordinary shares in the open market at RM1.44 per share and separately disposed of 14,294,400 shares on the same day.

Following the transactions, his direct interest stands at 1,142,150,492 shares (18.955%), while his indirect or deemed interest remains unchanged at 2,086,141,352 shares (34.622%), held via TJN Capital Sdn Bhd and Millennium Land Sdn Bhd pursuant to Section 8 of the Companies Act 2016.

Total shareholding after the changes amounts to 3,228,291,844 shares.

Based on the filings, the net effect of the same-day trades is an increase of 61,600 shares in his direct interest.

The disclosures were made pursuant to Sections 219 and 138 of the Companies Act 2016, reflecting Tan’s roles as both director and substantial shareholder.

The filings indicate active open-market trading by the company’s controlling shareholder, with only a marginal net change in overall holdings. There is no change in control, and indirect interests remain unchanged.
