PETALING JAYA (March 4): Tropicana Corp Bhd has formalised 10 memoranda of understanding through its hospitality arm, T Journey Collection Sdn Bhd, to strengthen its ecosystem ahead of its official launch next month.

Tropicana Corp managing director of marketing, sales and business development Ixora Ang said that for more than 47 years, Tropicana has prided itself on being a community builder, creating wholesome and liveable townships.

“Ahead of T Journey’s grand launch in March 2026, today’s milestone reflects our commitment to building a strong hospitality ecosystem through strategic collaborations, while delivering extended value to our property purchasers and a complete, seamless travel experience for guests and visitors,” she said in a statement.

The signing ceremony, held on Feb 10, 2026, was attended by representatives from the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) and Tourism Malaysia’s Domestic and Events Division, signalling public-private alignment in driving sustainable tourism growth in Langkawi.

T Journey, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tropicana, was established as a dedicated hospitality management and services platform to expand the group’s short-stay and experiential portfolio, while enhancing long-term value for property buyers.

Guided by its brand promise, “Where Every Journey is a New Chapter”, the platform integrates partners across the tourism value chain through its in-house T Concierge system, which curates and converts travel demand into bookable, end-to-end experiences.

T Journey will debut its first curated residences in Langkawi under Tropicana Cenang, a 5.28-acre freehold beachfront development at Pantai Cenang comprising serviced suites and retail components, with direct beach access and resort-style facilities.

Phase one and two, Assana and Merissa Serviced Suites, achieved topping-off in July 2025 and are on track for completion by the first quarter of 2026, with full operations targeted by mid-2026. Both phases recorded 100% take-up, comprising 831 and 60 fully furnished units, respectively.

Among the 10 partners formalised under the MOUs are AirAsia rewards, Mitra Kembara, Sedunia Travel Services, Holiday Tours & Travel Sdn Bhd, PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort, Dream Forest Langkawi, Crocodile Adventureland Langkawi, Langkawi Wildlife Park, Underwater World Langkawi, and hospitality technology provider HostPlatform.

The collaborations span mobility, travel services, food and beverage, leisure attractions and digital distribution, aimed at increasing visitor footfall, extending length of stay and supporting sustainable local economic growth in Langkawi.

For property purchasers, T Journey extends value beyond ownership through professionally managed short-stay operations, exclusive privileges and reward points, supporting long-term asset value.
