PETALING JAYA (April 17): YNH Property Bhd announced yesterday (April 16) that its wholly-owned subsidiary, YNH Construction Sdn Bhd, had been served with a winding-up petition by the government of Malaysia via Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri Malaysia [LHDN] (Lembah Klang Legal Branch) on April 14, 2026.
According to its Bursa Malaysia announcement filed yesterday (April 16), the petition (No. WA-28NCC-328-03/2026), dated March 30, 2026, was filed on the basis of YNH Construction's failure to settle outstanding tax liabilities amounting to RM7,210,064.77.
The hearing date has been fixed for July 16, 2026.
In its filing, YNH Property said management had not been aware of the petition until it was advertised on April 14, 2026, and only made this announcement thereafter.
The company noted that YNH Construction is not a major subsidiary as defined under Chapter 1 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.
The total cost of investment in YNH Construction by the company, as at the financial year ended June 30, 2025, is RM2,500,000.
YNH Property said there will be no immediate financial and operational impact and no expected loss to the group arising from the petition.
Following engagement with LHDN, the company said it has received confirmation from the tax authority on a proposed settlement arrangement and is currently working closely with LHDN to comply with the agreed payment terms and resolve the matter in a timely manner.
Any material developments will be announced in due course.
