PETALING JAYA (April 23): ACE Market-listed Wawasan Dengkil Holdings Bhd has secured a RM22.7 million construction contract from Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) to build 56 single-storey residential units and related facilities in Kampung Bukit Baja, Mukim Sepang, Selangor.
The contract was awarded to Wawasan Dengkil Sdn Bhd (WDSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, via a letter of acceptance dated yesterday (April 22), accepted on the same day, according to a Bursa Malaysia filing.
Work is scheduled to commence on June 8, this year and is expected to be completed by Oct 24, 2027, spanning 72 weeks. The contract carries standard liquidated ascertained damages provisions should WDSB fail to meet the stipulated completion deadline.
The project adds to PKNS's ongoing affordable residential development programme in Selangor's Sepang district, an area increasingly in focus given its proximity to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and ongoing infrastructure growth. Wawasan Dengkil, which listed on the ACE Market in March 2025, provides earthworks, civil engineering, construction materials trading and machinery hire services.
The board said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the company's net assets per share, earnings per share and gearing throughout the duration of the works.
