KUALA LUMPUR (April 27): Kommons Realty marked its annual Awards Night 2026 on April 8, bringing together its Real Estate Negotiators (RENs), leadership team, and industry partners to recognise performance achievements recorded in 2025.

In a statement today, Kommons Realty said the event also gathered stakeholders across the broader property ecosystem, including developers, bankers, solicitors, as well as collaborators from the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) segment, interior design, and furniture industries.

During the awards presentation, Eugene Wong was named Top Producer, while Freeman Woo received the Top Team Leader Award. In total, 80 RENs were recognised as Top Performers — comprising Elite and Elite Pro achievers — across the organisation’s 400-strong sales force.

A Lifetime Excellence Award was also presented to Edmund Chuah in recognition of his 31-year career in real estate. His professional journey spans roles from REN to agency leadership, and his current position within Kommons Realty since 2023 was highlighted as part of his long-standing contribution to the industry.

The company’s leadership used the occasion to reflect on its operational performance and organisational direction. Managing director Wong Yau Long shared a personal experience from his early career involving a property transaction that only concluded after multiple attempts, which he described as illustrative of the persistence required in the sector.

He noted that in 2025, Kommons Realty served more than 4,000 families and transacted over RM1.5 billion in property value, emphasising that each transaction represents a significant decision-making process for clients.

Executive director Kenny Sim highlighted the company’s organisational development over the past year, describing Kommons Realty as a platform shaped by collaboration and long-term growth. He noted enhancements to internal systems and support structures aimed at improving operational efficiency and performance outcomes.

He added that the organisation is intended to function beyond a traditional agency model, focusing instead on enabling professional growth and collective advancement.

While recognising measurable achievements, both leaders also acknowledged the broader effort behind performance outcomes, including the persistence required in day-to-day operations. The recognition of 80 Top Performers was cited as reflective of a culture that values consistency alongside results.

The event also acknowledged the role of external partners, including developers, financial institutions, legal practitioners, and service providers, in supporting end-to-end client experiences.

Looking ahead, Kommons Realty outlined its strategic targets for 2026, including a revenue goal of RM62 million and an expansion of its sales force to 600 RENs. The projections represent anticipated growth of 30% in revenue and 50% in team size, forming part of the company’s broader expansion plans for the year ahead.
