Shang Height’s journey began in 2015 with Taman Bukit Baru Jaya Apartment, a joint-venture affordable housing project with the Melaka state housing board. Comprising 144 units, the project marked the company’s early commitment to accessible homeownership and community-based living.

This foundation was followed by a series of residential developments across Melaka, each designed around practical layouts, family needs and accessibility to key amenities.

A key milestone came with Shang Height Residence @ Bukit Piatu, a 17-storey development comprising 192 units in the heart of Melaka city. With unit sizes ranging from approximately 926 sq ft to 1,200 sq ft and prices from RM250,000, the project offered young families and working professionals an accessible entry into urban living.

Expanding into integrated communities

In 2023, Shang Height launched i-Molek Residential @ Ayer Molek, a mixed development with 64 acres, gross development value of RM317 million. The project marked an important step in the group’s growth, combining landed living, connectivity and family-oriented placemaking within a cohesive master plan.

With double-storey terrace homes of up to approximately 1,800 sq ft and community features such as the Maze Garden, i-Molek reflects Shang Height’s focus on creating developments that go beyond homes — shaping places where communities can grow.

The recent handover of Phase 2A1 further reinforces the group’s delivery track record and commitment to fulfilling its promises to purchasers.

Strengthening its Melaka portfolio

In 2024, Shang Height introduced Century Park @ Paya Rumput, a 27-acre landed residential development that blends modern living with eco-conscious planning.

Designed for families seeking space, comfort and long-term value, Century Park features practical layouts, community facilities and lifestyle elements within an emerging growth corridor. The project has achieved strong market reception, with more than 90% take-up recorded and to complete for Phase 1A by Q2 2026.

Alongside its residential developments, Shang Height also entered the commercial segment through Seribu Satu Business Park @ Tanjung Kling.

Leadership with vision and discipline

The group’s direction is led by its founder and Group Managing Director, Alan Tee Kai Loon.

As a young entrepreneur and developer, Tee’s leadership is shaped by execution discipline, market awareness and a long-term view of development. His recognition as winner of the 2025 JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award further reflects the entrepreneurial drive behind Shang Height’s growth journey.

 

Prior to building Shang Height Group, Tee was also actively involved in several established development companies as a shareholder and key management contributor, where he gained extensive hands-on experience across large-scale township, commercial and high-rise developments. These experiences played a significant role in shaping his practical leadership approach, strategic execution capabilities and long-term development vision.
