KUALA LUMPUR (May 21): Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd (KL:KERJAYA) reported a 24% rise in first-quarter net profit from a year earlier as higher property sales offset lower construction billings.

Net profit for three months ended March 31, 2026 (1QFY2026) was RM57.34 million compared to RM46.07 million in the same quarter a year earlier, an exchange filing showed. Revenue for the quarter declined 5.3% year-on-year to RM446.82 million.

Kerjaya Prospek will “monitor market conditions and implement timely, strategic measures to mitigate operational and financial risks”, the company said, flagging challenges such as ringgit volatility, higher oil prices and manpower shortages.

In the near term, the company is supported by outstanding construction jobs worth RM4.3 billion, Kerjaya Prospek noted.

An interim dividend of 3.5 sen per share was also announced and payable June 26, versus three sen declared for the same quarter a year earlier.
