
PETALING JAYA (June 12): WORQ has expanded its footprint with the launch of its 13th outlet at Menara Shell in KL Sentral, in partnership with Sentral REIT, amid growing interest in transit-oriented and flexible workspace solutions.
The coworking operator, which describes itself as Malaysia’s largest coworking space provider, said the new outlet is already fully occupied and brings its total space in KL Sentral to approximately 60,000 sq ft.
WORQ said the expansion reflects its broader growth strategy focused on sustainable occupancy, operational efficiency and long-term value creation for both landlords and tenants.
Transit-oriented growth and public transport usage
Flexible workspaces are becoming an integral part of many occupiers’ office strategies, with companies prioritising agility, people-first experiences and convenient commutes.
Against this backdrop, WORQ has partnered with Sentral REIT to open its latest outlet at Menara Shell in KL Sentral, which the operator positions as a key transit-oriented hub within its network.
According to WORQ, nearly 50% of its members now commute via public transport, up from around 20% when the company first started.
“This shift reflects a structural change in corporate real estate strategy,” said WORQ co-founder and CEO Stephanie Ping.

“We’re seeing a growing number of workers who prefer to move away from car dependency and commute via public transport options. Our role is to provide that agility within premium transit-oriented developments like Menara Shell, while delivering an experience that keeps teams engaged and productive.

Collaboration with Prasarana
To further support public transport usage, WORQ has partnered with Prasarana Malaysia Bhd to offer Rapid Kembara pass users a 25% discount on WORQ day passes across all outlets.

Initiatives such as offering Rapid Kembara pass users exclusive discounts at transit-oriented workplaces make public transport a more attractive and practical choice, while supporting the development of a more connected and sustainable urban ecosystem,” said Ashok Panchalingam, interim head of Group Stakeholder Experience Management & Marketing Department at Prasarana Malaysia Bhd.

The launch of WORQ’s Menara Shell outlet marks another milestone in the continued evolution of KL Sentral as one of Malaysia’s most connected business districts, catering to occupiers that value connectivity, convenience and accessibility for their workforce.
