KUALA LUMPUR (July 8): SÓL Estate has exchanged memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with more than 10 strategic partners during its inaugural Live SÓL Well community event, according to a press statement by the developer EXAL Malaysia on Wednesday.

The collaborations represent the first phase of a long-term masterplan to establish Sarawak’s first proposed Lifestyle & Wellness Hub within a landed residential development. Located in Kuching, the integrated ecosystem aims to bring together healthcare, wellness, fitness, education, retail, dining, and lifestyle experiences.

The initial phase of the hub is anchored by 12 operators, including Everrise, Click2Health, Five Senses, Green Medi, IMM Healthcare, KOSA Coffee, Level Up Fitness, Mana Pharmacy, Melody Kindlyland, Tara Med, RehabConcept, and Valiant Clinic. SÓL Estate plans to expand this ecosystem to comprise approximately 25 to 30 curated operators over time.

EXAL Malaysia managing director Albert Ko said the proposed hub is envisioned as a "Third Place" — a welcoming destination outside of home and work where residents and the public can gather, access daily services, and maintain multi-generational connections.

"As our society changes, we believe our communities should evolve alongside it," Ko said, adding that the infrastructure is designed to enable older adults to live purposefully alongside younger generations.

The developer noted that the hub incorporates universal design principles, barrier-free spaces, and wheelchair accessibility to support residents looking to age in place.

The commercial development represents the next stage of SÓL Estate’s masterplan. It follows the residential rollouts of Phase 1 (Prime), which focused on aspirational homes, and Phase 2 (Apex), which offers adaptable living options. The upcoming Phase 3 (Zenith) will extend this concept further through multigenerational homes engineered to support ageing in place.
