PETALING JAYA (July 23): Eonmetall Group Bhd shareholders have approved the proposed disposal of freehold land parcels in Kapar, Klang, Selangor, by its wholly owned subsidiary Eonmetall Land Sdn Bhd to WG Malaysia VIII Sdn Bhd for RM273.28 million cash.

The sole ordinary resolution tabled at the company’s extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on Monday (July 20) was passed with 100% of votes cast in favour, involving 183.60 million shares.

The poll results were validated by Commercial Quest Sdn Bhd, the independent scrutineer appointed by Eonmetall.

The disposal involves two parcels of freehold land held under Geran 455284, Lot 119910 and Geran 455285, Lot 119911 (formerly under H.S.(D) 166442, PT 85117) located in Mukim Kapar, District of Klang, Selangor.

Eonmetall had sought shareholders’ approval for the transaction as part of the proposed disposal of the land to WG Malaysia VIII for the cash consideration of RM273.28 million.

The company did not provide further details on the utilisation of proceeds or completion timeline in the meeting outcome announcement.
