PETALING JAYA (July 23): Maybulk Bhd shareholders have approved the proposed disposal of parcels of freehold land in Mukim Kapar, KlangSelangor by its wholly owned subsidiary MBC Logistic Hub Sdn Bhd to WG Malaysia VIII Sdn Bhd for a cash consideration of RM278.05 million.

The ordinary resolution was passed at an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on Monday (July 20), with 99.9938% of the votes cast in favour of the proposal.

The resolution was decided by way of poll, with the results validated by independent scrutineer SKY Corporate Services Sdn Bhd, according to Maybulk’s Bursa Malaysia filing.

The disposal involves freehold land held under Geran 455286, Lot 119907 and Geran 455287, Lot 119908 (formerly under H.S.(D) 166441, PT 85116), located in the Mukim of Kapar, District of Klang, Selangor.

A total of 181.36 million shares were voted in favour of the resolution, while 11,220 shares voted against it.

The approval clears the way for Maybulk to proceed with the proposed land disposal, which was tabled for shareholders’ approval at the EGM.
