SUNWAY City Bhd (SunCity) which clinched the third spot in The Edge Top Property Developers Awards 2010 (TPDA) attributes its success to the support of its customers, shareholders and all stakeholders.
“We are honoured to be recognised as one of the Top 10 developers for 2010 as this reflects the group’s focus in becoming an innovative and customer-centric leading master community developer. It also means that our diligence and efforts are appreciated and recognised.
“We continue to remind ourselves that our customers, shareholders and all other stakeholders are the ones who have helped us in one way or another to win this award. This award belongs to all of us,” its managing director, property development, Malaysia Ho Hon Sang said.
The group, which is one of the few developers with both significant property development and property investment portfolios, has been in the Top 10 list of the TPDA since the inception of the awards.
SunCity is also looking to transform itself from a local property developer into an integrated global property player. It is growing its business overseas to achieve new sources of revenue and expand its reach globally. It aims to record a revenue contribution of 30% from overseas projects by 2013 and 50% by 2015.
Going forward, the developer plans to stay ahead of the competition and continue to deliver breakthrough innovative concepts and services to bring the company to the next level. It aims to consistently meet and exceed market expectations, such as driving the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) philosophy in its developments.
Going green is also one of its aims. To date, it has created a gross built-up of close to three million sq ft of green living space with at least five projects certified green.
