Sabah-based Azam Jaya Bhd (KL:AZAMJAYA) ended its debut on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia on Monday with a closing price of RM1.09, a 39.74% or 31 sen rise from its initial public offering price (IPO) of 78 sen.
The company expects Sabah to remain as its core market, adding that “there is a lot more to do".
At its last price, the company had a market capitalisation of RM540 million.
The three-phase contract was awarded to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Aneka Jaringan Sdn Bhd, by GDP Architects Sdn Bhd on behalf of Murni Lapisan Sdn Bhd.
This follows the High Court’s October ruling that the Duta Enclave should be returned to Semantan Estate, effectively declaring the government’s 1956 acquisition of the land invalid.
