Construction company Binastra Corp Bhd (KL:BNASTRA) has secured a contract worth RM256.45 million for mechanical and electrical (M&E) fit-out works of a data centre in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur. 

This step, according to a bourse filing on Monday, is intended to enhance the credibility of the group with its bankers, investors, customers, and other stakeholders.

Malaysia should shift from merely hosting data centres to becoming a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and export of data centre infrastructure, said Minister of Economy Rafizi Ramli.
