Dissatisfaction over a government decision alone is not the basis to take the government to court, the High Court here remarked on Thursday.
The government is seeking to strike out a lawsuit revolving around the cancellation of the RM110 billion High-Speed Rail (HSR) project between Malaysia and Singapore, on the grounds that public policy decisions are a non-justiciable matter in any court and plaintiff Mohd Hatta Sanuri has no legal right to initiate the suit.
Tan Ching Peng, 60, and Tan Siew Moi, 57, were charged with three counts of misappropriation of property amounting to RM220,000 involving Rekabina Construction Sdn Bhd in December 2020, January 2021 and September 2021. All offences were committed at Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam.
The group's revenue grew 10.73% to RM168.1 million from RM151.81 million, its bourse filing showed. Earnings per share rose to 0.81 sen from 0.37 sen. No dividend was declared.
