In a note on Thursday (Jan 6), its analyst Loong Kok Wen who maintained "neutral" on the sector said that despite an encouraging pickup in demand for property in 2021, she believes the sector is still facing negative headwinds that may hinder the continued recovery in property sales as well as earnings growth.
Marriott International, Rackson Hospitality introduce Le Méridien Penang Airport hotel
According to a statement on Thursday (Jan 6), Le Méridien Penang Airport is part of the Penang Gateway development, located by the Penang International Airport, on the main Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah road. It will be part of a mixed-use development that will also comprise an independent residential tower, medical centre, commercial and retail space. Construction is due to commence by mid-2022 and is expected to be completed by end-2026.
