KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 3): Mudajaya Group Bhd has been awarded an RM118.6 million contract to build a 16-storey office block complex in Sungai Buloh, Selangor.

The office complex to be called Hevea Tower is part of a proposed development extending over 2,330 acres of land owned by the Malaysian Rubber Board.

Mudajaya, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, said its wholly-owned subsidiary Mudajaya Corp Bhd accepted the contract from KLIAA-KLIACS Consortium.

It said the project is expected to be completed by September 2019 and contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2017 onwards.

Mudajaya’s share price closed unchanged at RM1.12 for a market capitalisation of RM662.36 million. — theedgemarkets.com
