PETALING JAYA (July 27): According to a government source, a high-level delegation from China is in Kuala Lumpur to discuss the East Coast Rail Line (ECRL) and gas pipeline projects under the Finance Ministry unit Suria Strategic Energy Resources Sdn Bhd (SSER), reported Malaysiakini.

“I was informed that the talks start today,” the source told Malaysiakini.

The two pipeline projects worth RM9.4 billion, the Multi-Product Pipeline (MPP) and the Trans-Sabah Gas Pipeline (TSGP) had been awarded by SSER to China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPPB).

Earlier this month, Council of Eminent Persons (CEP) head Daim Zainuddin visited China, where he met Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
