SEPANG (Oct 29): A 23-year-old Libyan man is expected to be charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code at a magistrate’s court here with the murder of assistant manager Wan Amirah Wan Alias, reported The Star today

The Libyan will also be charged under Section 326 of the Penal Code with voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means.

He is also facing a drug-related charge under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

His two Yemeni friends are facing separate drug-related charges, also under Section 15(1)(a), said the report.

Wan Amirah was involved in a hit-and-run accident about two weeks ago in Cyberjaya. She passed away at Hospital Putrajaya on Oct 18.

The three foreign men and a Sabahan woman were taken into custody on Oct 18 at Pusat Bandar Putra Permai in Seri Kembangan and at Verdi Residence in Cyberjaya over the deadly accident.

All four are students at a university in Cyberjaya. The woman has since been released.
