ISKANDAR PUTERI: The Smart City Urban Design Guideline (SCUDG) and the Smart City Centralised Monitoring Services (SCCMS) have been launched here.
According to a report by The Star daily, “SCUDG will apply to the township, offices, residential homes, offices, technology parks and retail malls”, while the SCCMS is a 24-hour managed security monitoring service maintained by certified and licensed staff.
The company responsible for both systems is Inneonusa Sdn Bhd (a tripartite joint venture between Telekom Malaysia Bhd, UEM Sunrise Bhd and Iskandar Investment Bhd).
“Inneonusa via TM is able to provide a Smart City platform by leveraging on TM’s integrated core infrastructure, including connectivity, data centres, ICT and cloud services.
“This means, Inneonusa is able to support the current stakeholders of Iskandar Puteri citywide ecosystem. The SCUDG further enables us to develop the industry’s business best practices and operating processes together with our stakeholders, to deliver better experience and value to everyone within Iskandar Puteri and potentially beyond,” said Inneonusa CEO Akram Mackeen.
He also added that service was available to Iskandar Puteri residences at RM80 per month and on a pay-per-use basis.
Meanwhile, Iskandar Investment CEO Datuk Khairil Anwar Ahmad told the daily that: “Iskandar Puteri has achieved another milestone with its smart city concept now becoming a reality.”
