KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 1): DutaLand Bhd has appointed the 13th chief justice of Malaysia, Tun Ariffin Zakaria as its new chairman, effective immediately.

Ariffin was chief justice from Sept 2011 to March 2017.

In a local exchange filing on Friday, the property developer said Ariffin will be replacing Tengku Datuk Seri Ahmad Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, who will be retiring from the position.

According to the group, Ariffin also holds several directorships, including at Can-One Bhd and Microlink Solutions Bhd.

Shares in Dutaland finished unchanged at 29 sen, valuing the company at RM241.28 million.
