KUALA LUMPUR (May 7): IHG Hotels & Resorts will introduce its luxury lifestyle brand Kimpton in Malaysia with the opening of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Located in the Tun Razak Exchange (TRX), the 26-storey hotel will feature 466 rooms. The name ‘Naluria’ is derived from two Malay words—Naluri (instinct) and Ria (joy)—capturing the hotel’s ethos of joyful living guided by instinct.
“We are thrilled to debut IHG’s luxury lifestyle brand, Kimpton, in Malaysia, continuing the brand’s global expansion,” said Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur general manager Paul Cunningham.
“Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur is beyond just an inspirational place to stay—it will be the city's next vibrant social hub, where human hospitality, inspiration, wellness and evocative experiences come together seamlessly. Location-wise, we’re surrounded by the perfect blend of commerce and creativity, with retail, dining, and green spaces that invite discovery.”
Guests can look forward to Kimpton’s unique signature amenities, including “Forgot It, We’ve Got It!”—which offers essential travel items, “Kimpton Kickstart”—complimentary morning coffees and teas in the lobby, and “Kimpton Social”—a daily hosted social hour with drinks and conversation.
Dining options will include four distinct venues, such as Four Siblings, a destination rooftop bar and lounge, and Tuai + Till, an all-day dining concept that transitions into two unique evening venues: Tuai, a cosy Malaysian café, and Till, an elegant Western brasserie. A retro Italian-American restaurant is also in development.
Additionally, the hotel will offer five versatile event spaces designed to foster meaningful human connections, suitable for social gatherings or business meetings.
Designed in collaboration with award-winning Hassell Studio, the hotel’s interiors will combine urban energy with natural calm. The design will feature organic textures, natural stones, lush greenery and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing city views, creating a serene atmosphere.
Kimpton was founded in 1981 in San Francisco by Bill Kimpton and is renowned for its design-forward, lifestyle-centric hotels. In Asia, the brand has seen successful launches in Taipei, Bangkok and Koh Samui, with several upcoming properties in cities such as Frankfurt, Marbella, Riyadh, Hainan, Crete and Hong Kong.
