KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 12): Classita Holdings Bhd’s (KL:CLASSITA) wholly owned unit Caely (M) Sdn Bhd has sued Koperasi Peserta-Peserta Felcra Malaysia Bhd to recover RM9.47 million in unpaid sums for a completed housing project in Perak.
The RM69.04 million project, known as Kampung Tersusun Generasi Kedua Felcra Seberang Perak, was awarded to Caely-M in 2013 and completed on Oct 3, 2022.
Caely-M had, through a firm of lawyers, issued a notice of demand dated June 23, 2025, demanding the outstanding amount. Koperasi Felcra, however, had neglected, refused and failed to pay the outstanding amount, Classita's filing said.
In its claim, Caely-M is seeking RM301,996 for a sample house, RM9.17 million in outstanding payments, 5% annual interest from the judgment date, legal costs and other relief deemed fit by the court.
Classita has been in the spotlight recently after NexG Bhd (KL:NEXG), formerly Datasonic Group Bhd, acquired a 32.61% equity stake and 414.31 million warrants in the group for RM76.78 million cash.
On Tuesday, Classita’s share price rose to a high of 10.5 sen—its highest since August 2023—before settling on 0.95 sen at closing, valuing the company at RM117.11 million.
