KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 18): Southern Score Builders Bhd, formerly known as G Neptune Bhd, announced that its 51%-owned subsidiary SJEE Engineering Sdn Bhd has received a RM19.31 million subcontract from Sunway Construction Group Bhd’s Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd.

In a bourse filing on Monday, the letter of award stated that the scope of the subcontract covers the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical, telecommunications, and security underground infrastructure works.

Under the terms of the contract, the project commenced on July 28, and is slated for completion by Dec 31, 2025. 

Sunway Construction retains the discretion to postpone or defer the project, or any portion of it, by up to six months.

Southern Score Builders stated that the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s net assets and earnings per share for the financial year ending June 30, 2026.

The group also noted that the subcontract falls within the ordinary course of its business and is in the best interest of the group.
