JOHOR BAHRU (Oct 17): Johor-based developer Joland Group has officially broken ground on a serviced apartment project called Paragon Signature Suites in Johor Bahru. The project is nearly 90% taken-up since the launch in 2Q2025.
The groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday (Oct 16) also saw the signing of a homestay management partnership with Aurum Stay Sdn Bhd, according to a media statement issued on the same day.
Under the partnership, Aurum Stay offers an integrated homestay management platform for property owners of Paragon Signature Suites, including one-stop property services, 24-hour guest support, and interior design via revenue-sharing model.
“Our collaboration with Aurum Stay represents an exciting milestone as we continue to explore innovative ways to add value to our developments and enhance property ownership experiences,” said Joland Group executive director Datuk Seri Godwin Tan Pei Poh in the statement.
Located along Jalan Abdul Samad, the 1.14-acre, 32-storey Paragon Signature Suites has an estimated gross development value of RM291 million. It offers 484 partially furnished units with two built-up sizes of 645- and 649 sq ft. The project is targeted for completion in 2Q2029.
Designed to accommodate short-stay ownership, the development includes facilities such as a pickleball court, sunken lounge, games room, swimming pool, and a complimentary shuttle service to the Johor Bahru Customs, Immigration and Quarantine Complex.
Located 5km from the upcoming Rapid Transit System Link and Johor Bahru CIQ, the site also offers convenient access to Singapore, as well as nearby retail and dining amenities.
Buoyed by the project’s performance, Joland Group plans to expand with future developments in Tampoi, Skudai and Nusa Sentral.
“With the upcoming completion of the RTS Link and the growing influx of domestic and international visitors, Joland Group and this collaboration are well positioned to meet the rising demand for convenient, high-quality living and stay experiences in Johor Bahru,” he added.
