Kevin Goh’s career in real estate spans 10 years, beginning with a single residential property in a new development. From that first transaction, he embarked on a journey that would transform him from a newcomer into a top leader. For him, the path to a high-achieving career was a deliberate shift from simply selling properties to becoming a trusted consultant for his clients.
Kevin’s biggest breakthrough moment, which unlocked his millionaire journey, was a pivotal mindset shift. He realized that his long-term success was tied to building relationships and providing value, not just closing deals.
Focusing on clients’ needs and building long-term relationships naturally leads to success.
“The biggest breakthrough came when I shifted my focus from just selling properties to becoming a trusted advisor,” he said. “I realized that by focusing on my clients’ needs and building long-term relationships, the sales would follow naturally, and that’s how I hit my first RM1 million.”
His daily habits are driven by the principle of continuous learning and humility. He believes that staying grounded and always seeking new knowledge is key to staying ahead in the industry.
Kevin onsiders the MCO period to be his most challenging year. However, he saw it as an opportunity for growth rather than a setback. He credits his ability to bounce back to his willingness to adapt and learn new skills.
“The MCO was a tough year, but I saw it as an opportunity to grow. I used the time to learn and adapt, which helped me survive and thrive,” he recalled.
He advises younger agents that the key to making it big is not a secret but a habit. He stresses the importance of consistency and a focus on the basics.
“Stay hungry, stay humble, and most importantly, stay consistent,” he urged. “Consistency is the key to everything in this business.”
“My legacy is not about the numbers I hit, but about the lives I’ve impacted and the leaders I’ve helped grow,” he added.
For Kevin, his definition of success has evolved. It is no longer about the personal wealth he has accumulated but about the legacy he is building through his team.
