KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 23): Sentral REIT’s (KL:SENTRAL) manager Sentral REIT Management Sdn Bhd has appointed Tay Hui Ling as acting CEO effective Jan 22, with her appointment to be formalised once Securities Commission approves it, according to a bourse filing on Thursday.
Her predecessor, vice-chairman of the Malaysian REIT Managers Association Teh Wan Wei, stepped down as Sentral REIT’s CEO in September last year. Teh was appointed CEO of Sunway REIT in December 2025.
Tay, 49, was previously head of funds management for Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia for LOGOS (ESR Group), overseeing multiple logistics fund portfolios with assets under management of about US$2.5 billion.
“Her responsibilities included portfolio strategy, asset and liquidity management, fund structuring, capital raising, acquisitions and divestments, and investor relations,” Sentral REIT said.
It noted Tay also held senior leadership roles in various global institutions, including the Government Investment Corporation of Singapore, Lendlease and HSBC Investment Banking in London.
Sentral REIT manages prime office and commercial buildings in Klang Valley and Penang. Its portfolio includes Menara CelcomDigi, Menara Shell, Platinum Sentral, and part of Plaza Mont Kiara.
At end-September 2025, portfolio occupancy stood at 86%.
Units in Sentral REIT ended unchanged at 80 sen, valuing it at RM956.4 million.
