PETALING JAYA (June 12): I-Bhd’s i-City has partnered Singapore-based Twin-Matrix Technologies to explore artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced living experiences, including the development of an AI companion concept for its AI Living initiative.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing yesterday, I-Bhd said the collaboration will focus on experiential AI, avatar interaction and spatial intelligence concepts aimed at creating more intuitive and immersive experiences across connected environments within i-City.

The parties will explore an AI companion that could serve as the resident-facing interface for AI Living, which I-Bhd described as the world’s first AI and robotics residential development.

Potential features under exploration include avatar-based interactions, spatial intelligence for navigation and contextual assistance tailored to residents’ daily needs.

I-Bhd said the initiative is intended to support selected AI companion concepts that complement the broader AI Living Urban Intelligence Platform being co-developed with Mesiniaga Bhd.

Director Datuk Eu Hong Chew said the collaboration reflects i-City’s view that future urban environments will increasingly combine intelligent infrastructure with more natural and intuitive human interaction experiences.

Twin-Matrix specialises in spatial intelligence, digital twin environments and AI-enhanced experiential technologies. Its CEO Eric Liu said the collaboration could explore how AI-enabled interaction experiences evolve within future residential and mixed-use developments.

He said the parties are looking at how offices, residences, retail, hospitality assets and the LRT3 station serving i-City could eventually be integrated into a single digital environment through spatial intelligence and digital twin technology.
