PETALING JAYA (Aug 7): GuocoLand (Malaysia) Bhd's privatisation has been completed following the settlement of the offer price to entitled shareholders under its selective capital reduction and repayment exercise.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Friday (Aug 7), the property developer said the settlement was effected on the same day.

Entitled shareholders with eDividend accounts registered with Bursa Malaysia Depository were paid via electronic remittance, while payment to those without eDividend accounts was made through cheques, banker's drafts and/or cashier's orders despatched by ordinary mail to their registered addresses or designated agents.

The privatisation was undertaken pursuant to Section 116 of the Companies Act 2016.
