KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 6): The Malaysia China International Tradelink Association (MACITA) has awarded Mah Sing Group Bhd group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum the International Entrepreneur Excellence Award 2016.
The award is given in recognition of the achievements made by international entrepreneurs, leaders, corporate social responsibility ambassadors, and outstanding sportsmen.
The award this year was presented at a dinner on Sept 3. It was awarded to Leong for his contribution in growing Mah Sing into a dynamic player at the forefront of the industry.
“It is an honour to receive this award. This award not only recognises my work throughout the years but also the work and effort of the hardworking team that placed the Mah Sing brand in its position today. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our passionate employees and loyal customers that have always supported us,” said Leong in a statement.
The event was organised in conjunction with the Malaysia-China Silkroad Economic Forum 2016 which aims to strengthen bilateral ties and networking between entrepreneurs from China and Malaysia, while improving international trade and economic collaborations between the two nations.
The award was presented by the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Tan Masir Kujat, and witnessed by Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Mary Yap.
