KUALA LUMPUR: Construction firm Ahmad Zaki Resources Bhd's (AZRB) subsidiary was awarded an RM145.39 million contract.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Thursday, Mar 10, the company said its unit Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd had on Wednesday received the letter of acceptance from Jabatan Kerja Raya Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur for the completion of the remaining works of Lebuhraya Pantai Timur Project, Phase 2 in Terengganu.

"The award for the works amounted to a total value of RM145.385 million, and it is expected to be completed on Aug 26 next year," it added.

The project, it noted, is expected to contribute positively to AZRB group's earnings and the net tangible assets for the financial years ending 2011 to 2012.
