PETALING JAYA: Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd, a unit of the Employees Provident Fund and master developer of Kwasa Damansara in Sungei Buloh, has approved five tier-2 developers for its next Request for Proposal (RFP), R2-1, reported Bernama.

The companies are Johor Land Bhd, MKH Bhd, Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd, Paramount Corp Bhd and TH Properties Sdn Bhd.

Kwasa Land categorises tier-2 developers as companies with shareholders’ funds or a paid-up capital of RM300 million.

Kwasa Land said the companies’ suitability for the RFP was assessed by an independent team of evaluators comprising marketing consultants, architects and other professionals.

In a statement, it said tenderers were required to submit “development concept and layout proposals for the R2-1 parcel based on approved density, development phasing and unique features of the proposal complete with the overall planning layout, 3-D massing and landscape plans”. The whole of the proposed development within the R2-1 land must be completed within six years.

Tenderers were also required to submit the tender price on a per square foot basis, along with their financial feasibility analysis.

The master developer has so far called for three RFPs: the main town centre development MX-1, the first bumiputera development R3-2, and now R2-1, which is open to tier-2 developers.

Kwasa Land plans to call for two more RFPs for residential development.
