KUALA LUMPUR: i-Bhd, an integrated ICT developer, has set aside a US$5 million (RM15.05 million) budget for brand-building positioning of i-City, globally, which will include international promotions and themed programmes.
To further promote i-City's position as a leisure destination, i-Bhd has formed a strategic partnership with MTV Network Asia to organise programmes with Nickelodeon, as well as, to host the MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2011 concert on July 24, at i-City, Shah Alam.
MTV Network Asia is a unit under Viacom International Media Networks (Viacom).
"Our tie-up with MTV Networks Asia not only reaches out to the target audience, but we are in partnership with one of the leading new media companies in the world with interest in web-based games and entertainment," i-Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Eu Hong Chew told a media briefing here on Thursday, June 9.
MTV will showcase Malaysia and i-City with an hour-long version of MTV World Stage concert to be broadcast to 154 countries and set to reach over 550 million households, globally. — Bernama
