KUALA LUMPUR: Hua Yang Bhd — in partnership with the Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam (MBSA) — launched Oasis 9, a 2-storey commercial complex in Section 9, Shah Alam recently.
The 30,000 sq ft complex, just five minutes from the Concorde Hotel in Shah Alam, is already 100% tenanted with shops such as boutiques, hair salons, optical shops, and mini kiosks. It also has a food court.
Its anchor tenant, Zam Zam Restaurant, is the biggest Middle Eastern restaurant in the country, taking up 18,000 sq ft, according to a statement released by the developer on Wednesday, Dec 15.
"We initiated this project in 2006 under a build, operate and transfer (BOT) agreement. Work began in 2008 and was completed by 2010," Hua Yang CEO Ho Wen Yan said.
Under the agreement, Hua Yang will build and manage Oasis 9 for a period of 30 years before handing it back to MBSA.
The developer's key revenue driver and flagship development is its almost 18-acre One South, a RM750 million integrated, mixed development comprising retail, serviced apartments and commercial units, located in Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur.
