SINGAPORE: Yongnam Engineering (HK) Ltd, a wholly-owned unit of Yongnam Holdings Ltd (YHL), has secured HK$300 million (RM115.46 million) worth of specialist civil engineering sub-contracts for the Hong Kong section of the Express Rail Link (XRL).
In a statement on Tuesday, May 31, YHL said its unit would support Maeda-China State Joint Venture, the main contractor of the XRL project awarded by the MTR Corp.
"Works on the subcontracts are expected to be completed in 2013 and they are expected to have a favourable impact on the group’s financial performance for the year ending Dec 31, 2011," it said.
YHL, a structural steel contractor and specialist civil engineering solutions provider, has 40 years' experience in steel fabrication.
It has production facilities in Singapore and Nusajaya, Johor, with a total annual capacity of 78,000 tons of steel fabrication. — Bernama
