Of the 10 new infections, four were imported cases and six were local transmissions involving four Malaysian citizens and two foreigners, said MoH director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

"We believe the new government is unlikely to proceed with the acquisition of Gamuda's toll highway stakes for RM2.36 billion, given the financial constraints as the federal government deficit is set to rise due to the economic stimulus measures.”

Ahmad, 54, who is also the Pontian Member of Parliament, initially filed the application on Feb 14 in the Sessions Court where he was charged. He applied for the charges to be dropped on the grounds that they are baseless and contravene the laws.
