Two Berjaya Corp Bhd subsidiaries have acquired shares in 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd (SEM).

Its ex-date was March 27, and entitlement date was March 28.

Azhar Harun was the Dewan Rakyat Speaker from 2020 to 2022, and retired after Datuk Johari Abdul was appointed as the new Dewan Rakyat Speaker for the current parliamentary term.

Its wholly-owned unit MAGSB has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement with WINGS to acquire the entire management rights of a 16,900 sq m piece of land together with the 218-room Century One Helang Hotel Langkawi.

Able Global Bhd — through its 70%-owned subsidiary Able Development Sdn Bhd (ADSB) — plans to sell its 23.538-acre land in Kuala Langat, Selangor, for RM18.45 million.

Trading of Top Builders Capital Bhd’s shares will continue to be suspended on Bursa Malaysia, as the group failed to file its quarterly report for its second quarter ended Dec 31, 2022 (2QFY2023) by Feb 28 as required under the Main Market Listing Requirements.

Quarterly revenue improved 15.57% to RM81.80 million, from RM70.78 million for 3QFY2022, with the property development segment as the major revenue contributor. 

Metering and engineering group George Kent (Malaysia) Bhd swung to a net loss in its third financial quarter ended Dec 31, 2022 (3QFY2023), mainly due to lower contribution from the metering division and foreign exchange (forex) loss.

Matrix has been consistent in delivering sales performance even as the property market was impacted by various lockdowns, added Tan. 

The group's earnings per share also declined to 2.76 sen from 6.56 sen in 4QFY2021.
