Sabah contributed more than half the new cases, with 387 infections, while Klang Valley reported 173 cases.
Two of these clusters are found in Sabah, namely the Avenue cluster in Penampang with 110 positive cases, and the Kejora cluster in Kota Kinabalu with nine cases. The three remaining clusters are: the Kasah cluster involving Kepoh in Kuala Lumpur with 19 cases, the Summer cluster in Timur Laut Penang with 11 cases, and the Mengketil cluster — which spans Kota Bharu, Machang and Tanah Merah in Kelantan, as well as Besut in Terengganu — with 24 cases.

“CMCO takes a bit longer of time [in controlling the spike of Covid-19 cases] compared to MCO, because there is still movement and that is an issue, so we hope we can reduce the movement of people,” said Dr Noor Hisham.
The Klang Valley, comprising Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, contributed 544 of the new cases.
It argues that the proposed development will encroach on its lot.
